Your profile

  • Completed studies in mechanical engineering or precision engineering
  • 3+ years work experience in CAD (SolidWorks) and FEM simulation, ideally also in heat management and material science
  • Knowledge of standards and documentation procedures of space industry
  • Basic experience with the development of optomechanical and optoelectronical systems
  • Very good English and German language skills both written and spoken

Your tasks

  • Implementation and execution of thermal and structural (shock, vibration) simulations of a complex quantum-technological system for a space application
  • Comparison of simulation results with real-world test results
  • Recommendation of design improvements based on the simulation results, in particular concerning heat management and structural reliability
  • Close interaction with engineering team (optics, electronics, mechanics, system engineering)
